Washington State University Institute of Materials Research

Parker Toews

I am a Junior-year undergraduate at Washington State University. I am originally from North Idaho, before coming to Pullman in pursuit of higher education. I would personally say I’ve always been interested in engineering, as I always questioned how the world works around me, and sought to develop an understanding of the world. Currently, I am pursuing a B.Sci. in Mechanical Engineering and am employed by the Institute for Materials Research (IMR) in the Czochralski Furnace Laboratory. Upon completing my degree, I plan to attend graduate school in pursuit of a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. In my free time, I enjoy hiking the wonderful outdoors, fishing, 3d printing, and spending time with family and friends.
