Dr. Gul is currently Research Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering (MME) at Washington State University, in Pullman, Washington, USA. She is also a Visiting Scientist/ Faculty of Brookhaven National Laboratory NY. Since 2007, she has been affiliated with Brookhaven National Laboratory; as a PhD scholar, Research Collaborator, Post-doc, and Visiting Scientist/ Faculty.

Education:

Dr. Gul holds a PhD in Applied Physics from the Idaho State University, M.Phill (Physics/ Material Science), MS (Nuclear Physics), and M.Ed (Education).

Research Areas:

High Z- semiconductor, especially CdTe-based compounds for device applications. Research activities covers; Crystal growth by using different melt techniques, device fabrications and characterization to achieve high performance materials for room- temperature device applications.

Photovoltaic materials for solar cells

Ge-based Chalcogenides multi-layered phase change memories, and Conducting RAM.
