My name is Samuel Bigbee-Hansen and I am a Masters student in the Materials Science and Engineering Program at WSU, advised by Dr. McCloy. My research focuses on the growth of Cadmium Telluride feedstock crystals for the purpose of creating cheap efficient photovoltaics. The properties of materials have always captured my attention especially regarding how to tailor and make them benefit society. Green renewable energy as always been an interest of mine due to its clean, diverse nature and potential for increased local power generation. Outside of research and school I enjoy hiking and finding one of a kind spots in nature, playing board games and video games and exploring faith with my church group.
